Plot holders invited to contribute to research

As a current Trafford Council allotment plot holder, you are invited to participate in research survey exploring the range of gardening practices that are used on allotments. This research will help to increase understanding of the variety of gardening practices on allotment sites, providing a foundation for further work across the borough with allotment societies and plot holders to develop a coherent approach to supporting nature whilst growing food.

Circular-City CIC is a locally based, not-for-profit Community Interest Company. They work with stakeholders across Greater Manchester on sustainable solutions to the biodiversity and climate crises.  For more information, see their website: https://circular-city.org/

Purpose of the study

The purpose of this project is to investigate how allotments in Trafford support biodiversity and to identify opportunities and barriers for nature-friendly allotment keeping. Results from the survey will be used to gain funding to tailor practical support to Trafford plot holders about biodiversity-friendly allotment gardening.
