Maintaining Your Allotment Plot

The Site

You can find more information about the site on our dedicated Our Site page

Site Rules

You must meet the obligations as set out in the Tenancy Agreement as well as the site rules stated in the Allotment Handbook.

Rule breaking will be discussed by the SHAS committee and punishment ranges from a warning to eviction depending on the severity.

Plot Inspections

Plot inspections take place in April, June and September each year. You will be given a minimum of two weeks notice ahead of these inspections but exact dates may not be given.
If personal circumstances mean you are not maintaining your plot to an acceptable standard please be proactive and reach out to the Plot Manager so we can look at ways to assist.

If your plot does not meet the expected standard you may be issued notices in line with the evictions procedure.

Costs

Rents and membership fees are due in January of each calendar year. You will receive an email with information on amounts due. If payment is not received by 28th February then you will be deemed to have given up your plot and it will be re-let to a new member on the waiting list.
