Padlocks getting jammed
When using the padlocks on the gates, especially the middle gate, make sure the clasp is firmly pushed down into the padlock before locking. If you don’t engage the clasp properly the padlock can jam and seize up causing access problems for others.

Double check taps are off
A plot was flooded overnight because a tap had been left on, overflowing the trough and wasting unknown litres of water during a drought. This is not acceptable. Always double check you have turned off the taps before you leave the site.

Over-wintering onions and garlic in stock
The Trading Hut re-opens on Saturday 6 September when, subject to delivery, we will be selling over wintering onions and garlic.

Notice of plot inspections
The scheduled plot inspections will be taking place at some point in September by the Plot Manager (Rosemary) and the Committee Chair (Louise). Plot holders facing challenges managing their plots due to personal circumstances are encouraged to reach out. New bench donated to site
Over the coming weeks you may spot a new bench on site. We’re honoured that the family of a late plot holder has requested to install a bench for allotment community use in her memory. We know that the bench will be well cared for by our membership.
